Update your Porsche PCM 3.1 unit to the v4.76* which is the latest version available. There are numerious documented bugs and known issues with the PCM 3.1 Headunit such as bluetooth connectivity problems, random reboots, freezing etc.

The latest version is also required if you want to update your Navigation Maps to the latest version or any hardware upgrade such as reverse cameras etc and is a prerequisite for this.

Porsche Main dealers will typically charge you £400+ typically to update your PCM Unit, save £££’s by purchasing the Software and Installing it yourself.

Why update my PCM 3.1 Unit? The current PCM firmware has known bugs, version 4.76 fixes all the known issues and is the latest version available. How do I check my current PCM Version? Press “Info” button located under the PCM screen. Then press “Option” and select “Show System Version” on the PCM screen. If your Maps are quite old it may update these too to a newer version.
